Never Have I Ever
A "never have I ever..." statement appears. Each player says out loud whether it has already happened to them, then a tap brings up the next one. Counting on five fingers is a house rule you lay on top.
The absolute classic of conversation games, in its counted rather than drinking form. It arrives in Capsule at the first community milestone.
This game arrives at 100 downloads
Never Have I Ever is not playable in Capsule yet. It unlocks for every player when the app reaches 100 downloads: no purchase, no rating, no review, just a shared counter. The rules below are complete, so you can play without the app in the meantime.
How to play, step by step
- A statement appears: "never have I ever...". One player reads it out loud.
- Everyone says out loud whether it has happened to them. That is all the app asks for.
- The group may ask for detail, but nobody has to tell the story.
- A tap brings up the next statement. There is no timer and no score kept by the app.
- To play with a winner, lay the classic five-finger rule on top, it is in the variants below.
Variants
- Five fingers. The classic version: everyone holds up five fingers and puts one down for each statement they have lived. Last one with fingers up wins. You count it yourselves, the app does not.
- Points version. Instead of eliminating, each finger down scores a point. Highest score wins and nobody leaves the table.
- House statements. Everyone writes one statement before starting. The game becomes tailored to the group.
Playing tips
- This game does not need alcohol. The counted version runs longer and plays funnier.
- Set the rule before the first card: finger down, story optional.
