Hold the phone against your forehead with the screen facing the room. Everyone else describes the word shown. Tilt the phone down when you get it, up to skip.

The gesture does everything: no button to find, the gyroscope handles it. This is the most immediate game in the catalogue, the one you start with four minutes to spare.

How to play, step by step

  1. One player holds the phone flat against their forehead, screen visible to the whole group.
  2. The timer starts, sixty seconds by default, adjustable in the settings. The group describes the word without ever saying it.
  3. The player guesses out loud. On a correct guess they tilt the phone down: the card scores and the next one appears.
  4. Stuck? Tilt up to skip. The card is lost.
  5. When time is up, the screen lists everything found and everything skipped.
  6. Pass the phone on. Compare the number of cards found if you want a ranking.

Variants

  • Questions. One of the app's two official variants: the player with the phone on their head asks the others questions they can only answer with yes or no.
  • Description. The other official variant: the group describes what is on the forehead without ever saying the word. Faster, and much noisier.
  • Mime only. House rule: nobody speaks, the group acts. Double the difficulty, guaranteed laughs.

Playing tips

  • Hold the phone flat to start. The gyroscope calibrates against that rest position.
  • Without a slippery case it stays put on its own. With one, keep a hand on it.
  • The Kids theme turns this into an unbeatable family game for a rainy afternoon.

Frequently asked questions

Not hard. A clear few degrees is enough. The gesture is deliberately large to avoid accidental scoring.

It needs a motion sensor, which every recent smartphone has. On a device without one, the app falls back to tapping to score.

Two: one wears the phone, one describes. The app imposes nothing. From three players up the clues start overlapping and the game comes alive.
