Spicy Questions
The phone draws an intimate question aimed at whoever is holding it. They answer honestly or pass, then the phone moves on. Every player has an unlimited right to refuse.
A conversation game, not a dare game. The content is adults only, and the right to pass without explaining yourself is part of the rules, not an exception to them.
How to play, step by step
- Sit in a circle. The phone travels clockwise.
- Each card asks a question to whoever is holding the phone.
- They answer, or they pass. Passing costs nothing and needs no justification.
- One follow-up question per card, so it never becomes an interrogation.
- What is said in the game stays in the game. Say so before the first card.
- The group can drop a theme at any point, at the request of a single player.
Variants
- Return to sender. Whoever answers can put the same question to a person of their choice.
- Group vote. Before the answer, everyone guesses what the person will say. Correct guesses score.
Playing tips
- This works with people who already know each other. It is not an icebreaker.
- Set the frame in one sentence before you start: nobody pushes, nobody judges, anyone can pass.
- If the group is mixed in age or closeness, play Debates instead.
