Blind Test
A short music clip plays. The first player to shout the correct title or the correct artist wins the round, then a tap reveals the answer and moves on. Clips are picked by decade and by style.
The third and last community milestone. In the meantime, two music games are already playable in Capsule and need no connection at all: Hum the Song and Sing the Song.
This game arrives at 5,000 downloads
Blind Test is not playable in Capsule yet. It unlocks for every player when the app reaches 5,000 downloads: no purchase, no rating, no review, just a shared counter. The rules below are complete, so you can play without the app in the meantime.
How to play, step by step
- Pick a decade and a style. Announce the range before the first round.
- A short clip plays. The first player to shout the correct title or artist wins the round.
- A tap reveals the answer and starts the next clip.
- A wrong answer forfeits that clip.
- House rule, if you want a score: one point per round won, one more for whoever also supplies the other half of the answer.
- Ten clips per round, then change decade.
Variants
- Reversed round. The artist is worth one point, the title three.
- Human buzzer. No button: first hand up. The disputes are part of the game.
Playing tips
- Alternate decades so no single generation is favoured all game.
- Ten clips per round is the right length. Beyond that, attention drops.
Frequently asked questions
It is the third community milestone, at 5,000 downloads. It is also the heaviest to produce, which is why the threshold is where it is.
Two things: Hum the Song and Sing the Song. They run on the players' voices rather than an audio clip, and work offline.
To stream clips, yes. Which is exactly why the two music games already available lean on the players instead.
